A graduate of Castleton State College, Karen has been on the Hardwick Dental team for 14 years. When you come to our office, Karen is happy to help you understand your treatment plan and financial options. Previously, she worked for the Vermont Judiciary, then a private law firm before breaking into dentistry. Taking care of patients is inherent in her nature, as she always wanted a job that kept her in contact with people and allowed her to assist them. Karen has a working knowledge of the technology used in our office, and thoroughly enjoys how each team member brings something new to the office. With such a varied background – she even taught Jazz Dance – it’s no wonder why she’s described as active, passionate, and supportive. Outside the office, look to the soccer fields. If she’s not playing, she may be photographing the sport.
What makes our office run so smoothly? The answer is not what, but who. Rita is responsible for most of the “behind the scenes” work, from administration, such as payroll and human resources, to financial duties, including property management and advertising. She’s been with Hardwick Dental Group for over two decades, and since she grew up in the same town, she truly understands the needs of the community. With a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Vermont’s Champlain College, Rita also owns a landscape company and self-storage facility along with her husband.
Registered Dental Hygienist
After receiving an associate’s degree, Katy’s worked full-time as a registered dental hygienist and continued to pursue her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of New England. She joined the team at Hardwick Dental Group in 2012, and has always felt the dentist’s office should be a place of positivity and smiles. She’s proud to confess she’s never had a cavity herself, and she loves the feeling of accomplishment she gets when she transforms a patient’s oral health. She enjoys working with Dr. Richter and the rest of the team, because of the unique relationships built with each patient. She considers herself organized and meticulous, which is great when it comes to keeping your mouth sparkling and healthy. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young boys, and you can find her volunteering at NCAL or coaching t-ball. Katy is an avid reader and has read everything Jodi Picoult has ever written.

She loves the way Hardwick Dental cares about every patient, and is proud to support their dedication to great smiles.
